Miley Cyrus reveals desire to 'erase the past and start over'

Singer and actress Miley Cyrus has revealed that she wishes her old music could be wiped from music retailers as she feels incredibly "disconnected" from it all.

During a new interview with Billboard, the 'We Can't Stop' beauty confessed that now she is 20-years-old she has more experiences under her belt and can't relate to any of the songs she wrote as a teenager, so would like to erase her previously released material and start anew:

"Right now, when people go to iTunes and listen to my old music, it's so irritating to me because I can't just erase that stuff and start over. My last record I feel so disconnected from – I was 16 or 17 when I made it. When you're in your 20's, you just don't really know that person anymore.”

"I want to start as a new artist. I consider my upcoming album my first, really.”

Referring to her upcoming new record's lead single, 'We Can't Stop', Cyrus explained that it was inspired by a crazy night out with friends: "I'm 20-years-old and I want to talk to the people that are up all night with their friends. It's based on a true story of a crazy night I had: When I heard the song for the first time, it captured exactly what I was living."
