Pink honoured by LBGT

Colourful popstar Pink has long been about equality. Now that dedication to all people being equal has resulted in her being honoured at the Human Rights Campaign's 14th annual National Dinner on October 9 in Washington.

Pink will be awarded the organisation’s prestigious Ally for Equality Award by another longtime friend of the gay, bisexual and transgender community, Bette Midler.

Other honourees on Saturday (October 9) include TV’s ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Precious’ director Lee Daniels, who will be presented with the Visibility Award by one of his film’s stars, Mo’Nique.

This has been a remarkable year in the fight for LGBT equality, but there is much work left to be done,” said Human Rights campaign president Joe Solmonese.

He continued, “The National Dinner will highlight our accomplishments and inspire us to keep up the fight until we have achieved full equality under the law.
