The Wanted have told fans that they could unleash their new single this week.

The UK group have been hard at work on new material over the summer and it seems fans will be getting to hear the fruits of their labour soon.

Singer Nathan Sykes posted on his personal Twitter account this morning (September 4):

"So how would people back home feel if I said you could be hearing the new single as early as Friday?! #home #TWFanmily #nicely."

The band's US mentor Scooter Braun meanwhile also plugged the new single release, tweeting:

"@thewantedmusic EP is out on ITUNES now and the NEW SMASH SINGLE is coming! this week??"

The Wanted recently shot a new music video in the US, with the quintet seen being chased by a gaggle of girls.
