Drummer Ashton Irwin, from 5 Seconds Of Summer, has revealed that he is writing brand new songs while on the road for the band's current Sounds Live Feels Live tour. 

The star posted an update to Snapchat, in which he tells the camera: "What's up you guys? Writing more songs! Feeling like I am jet-lagged 98% of my life!"

The band have been enjoying a couple of weeks off but will resume their extensive world tour with a concert in Vienna on May 12. From there, they will travel across mainland Europe before taking the jaunt to the United States, Canada, Mexico and then back to their home country of Australia where it will finish on October 5. 

DJ and producer Steve Aoki recently revealed what he was up to in the studio with the 5SOS lads and told Asia Pop 40 that they worked on something exciting together:

"Every story is different, but in this case the 5SOS story is I was in the studio with them. We worked together on this idea - it's not an Steve Aoki song, it's a 5 Seconds Of Summer song that I'm putting my production on. Then we took what we'd all worked on together and brought it to my lab - my studio - and added some electronic elements to enhance their production."
