Alicia Keys continues to help fight AIDS

Alicia Keys has urged her fans on social networking site Twitter to join the fight against AIDS by joining a protest march in New York City.

The 'Empire State Of Mind' singer spoke yesterday, June 7, at a United Nations event that was held to "set the agenda on AIDS for the next 10 years" and wrote on her social networking account this morning (June 8):

"World leaders r meeting in NYC 2day to adopt a new declaration to reaffirm commitments to fight global #AIDS. Join the march in Bryant Park!"

This isn't the first time that the star has publicly helped the fight against the disease as back in December last year she took part in a 'digital death' campaign, which was set up to raise money AIDS awareness. Her Twitter account became inactive and fans had to reach a $1m goal to restore it, which they achieved.
