Frankie Grande says he is "proud" of his sister Ariana after she publicly apologised for her recent behaviour in a doughnut shop.

The singer was caught on camera recently seemingly licking and spitting on doughnuts, whilst also saying "I hate America".

The US star previously took to Twitter to state that she was making a stand against obesity culture in the States.

However, Grande later issued a video apology in an effort to give more "sincere" account of herself.

Speaking to US magazine, her brother Frankie said that he hopes people can now move on from the incident.

He stated: "'I am proud of her apology, and that she has done it. I just hope that we can all move forward from here."
