After embarking on a nationwide search for the next wave of trailblazers in filmmaking, Channel 4 has acquired and commissioned a series of short-form films for its brand-new Shot By You strand – aimed at 16-24 year olds. The films will live on the Channel 4 Documentaries YouTube Channel. In each documentary, our young aspiring filmmakers capture real-life narratives through a first-person perspective. From a glamourous editorial model battling type 1 bipolar disorder, to the hopeless hunt for love that takes us to very unexpected places, each film offers a fresh insight and takes our audiences into new and eye-opening worlds. Shot By You will join Channel 4’s Documentaries page on YouTube alongside a successful roster of Factual True Stories, showcasing new and fresh talent from across the UK. Now, Rosie has her heart and mind set on being a public advocate, using her talents and experience to model what life with bipolar can really be like. EPISODE 6The Black Alien Project Following filmmaker Arthur Bruel, a Brazilian immigrant and 'alien' in his own mind as he explores his feeling of belonging through a weird and wonderful relationship with a body modification obsessive who is slowly turning himself into an alien.
