James Arthur reveals ambitions for new music: "I want to just go a bit crazy"

Singer-songwriter James Arthur, who recently made a phenomenal comeback with his album Back From The Edge, has revealed that for his next full-length release he would like to experiment with genre a little more.

He told Britain's Daily Star newspaper that he would be interested in doing something more in the vein of hip-hop or R&B:

"I want to just go a bit crazy and a bit more Kanye next. I would love to do something more left (field) and maybe make an R&B hip-hop thing. This one was quite guitar-based, vintage Motown, really honest and raw. But I'm excited to make new music."

James Arthur, who has just been added to the bill for this year's Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball at London's O2 Arena next month, concluded that it will be a great challenge to tackle the American market in the new year: "I think it will be nice to be presented as a new artist. I'm not ashamed of my history but they don't know my background, which will be interesting."
