Lorde: 'It's overwhelming that people all over the world know lyrics to my songs'

'Royals' songstress Lorde has opened up about her rise to fame and revealed that she can't believe that people all over the globe know the words to songs she has written in her native New Zealand.

Speaking to Britain's Stylist magazine, the 'Team' hitmaker confessed that every time she steps back and looks at the opportunities she's given in her career, she feels completely overwhelmed:

"It still completely bugs me out that I get to play venues that are sold out in the craziest corners of the world. I couldn't point to that place on a map but these people know the lyrics to a song I wrote a long way away. I can't make that normal in my head."

Earlier this week (May 13), she confirmed a second headlining date for London after her Brixton concert sold out and told her followers that she will perform at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on June 5:

"Very excited to announce a second small London show at the trés cool Shepherd's Bush Empire!! Have wanted to play here 4ever, I'm so thankful you guys made the Brixton tickets go so fast."
