Harry Styles deletes Twitter photo after 'racism' accusations

One Direction star Harry Styles deleted his Twitter profile photo after he was accused of being racist against Native Americans.

The singer recently updated his profile on the social networking website - which is followed by nearly 20 million people - with a new header photo.

However, it saw the Brit wearing a Native American headdress.

This prompted accusations of cultural racism and stereotyping and whilst many believed it to be an honest mistake, Styles ultimately changed his photo to a different image.

No Doubt meanwhile were forced into removing the video to their track 'Looking Hot' on YouTube in 2012 after complaints from Native Americans.

The group were seen in the video dressing up as cowboys and Indians, with Gwen Stefani, who was acting as an Indian, escaping from the cowboys.
