Liam Payne says it "feels like the first day of school" as One Direction return to work

Liam Payne believes returning to work is like the "first day of school".

The British-Irish boyband have had quite a leisurely time of it lately as they took a break after years of touring and recording.

However, that is all set to end soon as they head out on their Where We Are world tour, which opens on April 25.

Singer Liam Payne took to Twitter on Sunday (March 16) to confirm that the quintet are now back in action.

He said: "Back to worrrrkkkkkkk!!! Feels like 1st day of school...Ready for the social not for the work aha."

Payne's bandmate Niall Horan quoted the tweet then added: "Great laugh today."

The Where We Are tour meanwhile is due to open in South America before hitting Europe and North America.
