Harry Styles agrees to give The 1975's Matt Healy £5,000 in phone prank

One Direction star Harry Styles agreed to give The 1975 star Matt Healy during a radio show prank.

The British group appeared on BBC Radio 1's Breakfast Show on Wednesday (March 26) and they took part in Nick Grimshaw's Call Or Delete game.

They tried to phone up Niall Horan to prank him - but it rang to voicemail, so they called up Grimshaw's pal Harry Styles instead.

Healy's prank was that he needed an emergency loan of £5,000, ($8,318) with the musician saying:

"Basically I need five grand. I'm in Chalk Farm and I'm having an emergency...it's actually quite a serious situation. I've got two guys in here in a phonebox with me, one of them just keeps pointing at a photo of Mark Owen, it's really weird I don't know what that means, and it's really threatening. Do you reckon you could get Niall to come down and sort me the cash?"

Styles replied: "Okay, well we're in Bristol. But let me go and I'll get my assistant to call you and she'll sort it out."

Healy meanwhile was recently pictured with One Direction - but Harry Styles wasn't in the photo.
