One Direction confirm fifth album plans

One Direction have stated that they will release another album.

The band's future has been called into question rumour-mongers after the recent release of their fourth record 'FOUR'.

Singer Liam Payne raised eyebrows at the BBC Music Awards on Thursday (December 11), telling reporters:

"We're just so happy that this album has gone really well for us and it's kind of given us somewhere else to go with music now, if we do happen to do another one..."

Niall Horan was then asked if there will definitely be another One Direction record, with the Irishman saying:

"Yes, there will be."

'FOUR' meanwhile reached No.1 in countries across the globe when it was released in November.
