One Direction help write children's book 'The Curious Tale OF Fi-Rex' for charity

'Story Of My Life' boyband One Direction have written part of a children's book called 'The Curious Tale Of Fi-Rex' for Children In Need, which is the BBC' children's charity that aims to change the lives of disabled children and young people in the UK.

1D's Twitter team announced the exciting news earlier this afternoon (July 17): "The guys have helped write a kids book for Children In Need with friends!"

The book is available in hardback for £11.62 and the paperback edition is cheaper at just £7.15, and is available for pre-order now although it won't be officially released until September 16. The statement that accompanies the book online explains that different celebrity authors wrote different parts of the story

"An incredible tale written as a game of consequences - each section written by different celebrity authors. As a result this story is hilarious, unique and thrilling all at the same time , and every celebrity guest author shows their true brilliant colours within each of their own sections. The story of Fi-Rex, half-girl, half-dinosaur takes her on adventure like no other where she meets creatures and animals and strange beings on her quest to find the right way home. It's brilliant, and both children and adults alike will love this truly original and exciting story."

Other authors include Keith Lemon, Amanda Holden, Bear Grylls, singer Ronan Keating, Rod Stewart, Jamie Oliver's wife Jools, and TV personality Denise van Outen.
