Heartthrobs One Direction are celebrating their 2-year anniversary as a boyband with an exciting photoshoot in a "secret location".

They have even more reason to celebrate as last night (July 22), they won 3 Teen Choice Awards (pictured below).

Today (July 23) marks the group's second year of working together and the lads took to their official Twitter page along with individual accounts to commemorate the occasion and thank their fans for such incredible support:

"2 years on and 1D are in a secret location today doing a merchandise shoot couldn't be a more perfect day for it! 1DHQx."

Member Niall Horan posted a heartfelt message to his own page, which read: "Guys its been 2 years today since we were formed, it's been incredible so far, its all down to you guys! Love you all soo much! Thank you."

"Also guys, we are soo happy, we won 3 awards at teen choice last night! Thank you all soo much for everything you do for us! Its amazing."
