Niall Horan on One Direction's night at the casino: "We lost a lot"

One Direction star Niall Horan has revealed the band managed to lose a "lot" of money during a trip to a casino in Australia.

The band have gone from virtual unknowns to pop star globetrotters and this year they visited North America and Australia.

Speaking to The Sun, Horan said that the band do a lot of "stupid" things, and a trip to a casino whilst on tour was one of them.

Whilst the Irishman came away in profit, his bandmates, however, lost bags of money. He said:

"Like most of the stupid things we do, it seemed like it was a good idea at the time. We thought it was funny. We just thought, 'We're 18, this is the first time we've been able to spend a bit of money in weeks because we’d been on the road'."

The 'One Thing' man said: "In all honesty, I didn't have a clue what was happening. I won £100, which seemed reasonable, then I stopped. I'll have to say, 'No comment' about the others. Let's just say it got a bit ugly and a lot of money was lost. A lot."

It is said that the band were in their management's bad books after the casino visit.
