One Direction singer Niall Horan has admitted that he was told not to get a tattoo on his backside.

The British boyband have become somewhat accustomed to body art over the past year, with Harry Styles and Zayn Malik in particular happy to be inked.

In an interview with The Sun, Horan said that he wanted to get an Ireland related tattoo on his bum but he was told the terrain wasn't suitable. He said:

"Harry and Zayn are going at it with the tattoos. They are covered now. Harry seems to have a different one every day. I decided to get Made In Ireland in green on my arse cheek and I went to the place in LA where they do it. Me and the boys went in and they said they wouldn't do it."

The 'One Thing' star continued: "They said the skin on your arse is too squidgy. It needs to be tight. I suspect they did me a favour. It wasn't the best idea in the world."
