One Direction break records with Today Show performance

The One Direction heartthrobs took to the Today Show's New York City outdoor stage this morning (November 13) and treated viewers and audience members alike to a short live set.

They performed new single 'Little Things', along with 'Live While We're Young' and 'What Makes You Beautiful' to around 15,000 fans packed into Manhattan's Rockefeller Plaza, and the show's Matt Lauer later explained it was the "biggest concert ever": "We have never, ever had a crowd this big. This one breaks all the records.”

Following their renditions of the songs, member Harry Styles told the gathering: "I think for us it's unbelievable to see the fans support. I think in spite of everything that happened, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone that's been affected by Hurricane Sandy and to see everyone come out still when everything's happened is absolutely amazing, it means so much to us.”

Irish singer Niall Horan added that One Direction are working on their first ever 3D movie and teased a few details about the exciting project:

"We are going to do our first-ever movie and it's going to be in 3-D and it's coming to cinemas near you on the 30th of August, 2013.”
