One Direction are keen to beat the record for the most views on VEVO in 24 hours.

The boys released the video for their latest single 'Kiss You' on Monday (January 7) and it seems to have gone down a storm with fans.

The cheeky clip sees the band dress up as numerous characters and even go topless.

Singer Niall Horan took to Twitter to ask fans to view the video as many times as possible to make sure it breaks the record for the most amount of views on VEVO in its first 24 hours. He said:

"Lets see can we out do the record for the most views in 24 hours! #kissyouonvevo."

In October, Justin Bieber's 'Beauty And A Beat' notched up 10.6 million views in a day after its release.

At the time of writing, 'Kiss You' has been uploaded for 12 hours and its views is around 5 million.
