One Direction's quest for world domination has received another boost after the boyband landed in Japan.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' stars have arrived in the country to promote their wares - and they got into the spirit of things by wearing traditional attire in Tokyo airport.

The quintet were snapped wearing red kimonos as they touched down in the country after a long flight from London's Heathrow.

Harry Styles meanwhile tweeted a photo of a city landscape, which can be seen below, along with the caption: "Sooooo Hi Japan!"

Their Japan trip sees One Direction clock up even more air miles after the group recently visited Ghana as part of a Comic Relief trip.
