One Direction "gutted" at Shayne Ward's departure from 'Dancing On Ice'

UK heartthrobs One Direction have revealed their annoyance at the fact that Shayne Ward was voted off the latest season of 'Dancing On Ice' and voiced their opinions on Twitter.

The former X Factor winner became the fifth contestant to leave the television show yesterday (February 3) after skating for survival and some of the 'Little Things' singers took to their social networking pages to slam the judges' decision.

Member Niall Horan wrote, "gutted for him! he was one of the better ones!", while bandmate Liam Payne retweeted a message originally sent out by music security guard Paul Higgins that read, "You were amazing. So proud of U.People U should watch Shayne perform that song he just danced to."

Back in January, singer Zayn Malik had shown his support for Ward as a dancer and skater and revealed that he wanted him to win.

Last year, Ward slammed 'The X Factor' after he was cut from the show's commercials but the likes of One Direction and JLS were kept in.

Tweeting about being voted out of 'Dancing On Ice', Ward wrote: "Thankyou for all your support i've had the most amazing time. I'm gonna miss everyone. Mostly @mariafilippov You are incredible xx"
