Harry Styles tweets about philosophy in response to newspaper interview

Harry Styles took to Twitter to post some information about Greek philosophy after writer Alain de Botton encouraged the singer to use his influence to educate.

De Botton said in an interview with The Metro that the One Direction star should use his reach on Twitter to promote education about philosophy.

He said: "In an ideal world Harry Styles would be teaching his ten million Twitter followers a little more about Greek philosophy."

Styles responded on Twitter by quoting a section from Wikipedia's page on Greek philosophy, posting:

"Socrates, born in Athens in the 5th century BCE, marks a watershed in Ancient Greek philosophy."

De Botton recently met Styles at a party and had their photo taken together, which can be seen above. Talking about the meeting, the writer revealed: "I was introduced to him at a party. Neither of us had heard of each other. We had a nice chat. It was fun."
