One Direction "delighted" at Kids' Choice nominations

One Direction have been nominated for two Kids' Choice awards.

The British group are up for the Favourite Music Group and Favourite Song gongs, with the band nominated in the latter for their hit track 'What Makes You Beautiful'.

Speaking about the nods, Harry Styles said in a statement: "We are delighted with our nominations for the Kids' Choice Awards. It was amazing to perform 'What Makes You Beautiful' at last year's show. Thank you as always to our incredible fans and supporters!"

One Direction will face off against Taylor Swift in the Song category, with her smash hit 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' also nominated.

They will compete against Maroon 5, Bon Jovi and Big Time Rush in the Group category.

The 2013 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards are due to take place in California on March 23, with the public able to vote on who they want to win the awards from Thursday (February 14).
