Louis Tomlinson films homecoming for One Direction movie

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson visited his hometown Doncaster recently to shoot segments for the band's upcoming 3D film.

The pop group are releasing their debut movie This Is Us later this year and it seems it will feature scenes of the five lads returning home.

Local paper The Star revealed that Tomlinson headed back to Doncaster recently to visit his family as the cameras rolled.

The global star took time out to pick up his 8-year-old sister Phoebe from her school, with her friends naturally looking on in excitement.

Family man Tomlinson also visited his 90-year-old great-grandmother, who said she will watch the film when it is released.

The singer's mother Johannah said: "He went with the film crew to Hall Cross and Hayfield School, and he went with them to visit his great-grandmother, Olive Rothery. She's 90 and she's not been to the cinema for years. She was a natural for the cameras and said she'd never been in a movie. She says she'll go and see it when it comes out."

She added: "When he picked up Phoebe she said it was embarrassing because she was in her school uniform. There were about 40 children following them – it looked like the Pied Piper!"
