The dance move, which involves gyrating the hip section of your body, has become something of a craze recently.

Miley Cyrus is a keen proponent of the move and One Direction's Harry Styles even got in on the act recently live at the Teen Choice Awards in the US.

He has now been joined by all of his bandmates, who were tasked by Capital FM whilst promoting their upcoming film This Is Us to twerk for the cameras.

They managed to perform the move with varying degrees of success, with Zayn Malik opting for more of a pelvic thrust.

This Is Us meanwhile is due to hit cinema screens from August 29.
