Zayn Malik named seventh most influential Asian in UK

One Direction's Zayn Malik has charted strongly in a list of the most influential Asians resident in the UK.

The singer rose to global fame after starring on the X Factor 2010 before going on to release three studio albums aside massive worldwide tours.

He has come seventh in a list devised by GG2 to find the most influential Asians in the country.

First on the list is Malala Yousafzai, who moved to Britain after being shot in the head by the Taliban for campaigning for girls’ education.

Second is politician Keith Vaz whilst industrialist Lakshmi Mittal is third.

One Direction meanwhile released their third album 'Midnight Memories' on Monday (November 25).

It is set to become the quickest selling album of the year in the UK, whilst it is expected to hit No.1 in the US too.
