One Direction on course to top UK albums chart for third straight week

One Direction look set to hold their lead at the top of the UK albums chart.

The lads have spent two weeks at the top of the list with their new effort 'Midnight Memories', which became the UK's fastest selling album of the year.

The Official Charts Company have confirmed that it is on course to spend a third week at No.1 when the full list is announced on Sunday (December 15).

Their midweek update shows that Robbie Williams' 'Swings Both Ways' is currently No.2 today (December 11), whilst Gary Barlow's 'Since I Saw You Last' is No.3.

Olly Murs' 'Right Place Right Time' re-issue sticks at No.4 and Michael Bublé's 'To Be Loved' has risen 14 places to No.5.

As previously reported, Emeli Sandé's 2012 debut 'Our Version of Events' is currently the biggest selling album of the year in the UK.
