One Direction and Kim Kardashian have charted highly in a list of the UK's most searched for celebrities this year on Google.

The hugely popular online search engine have revealed who the country has been looking up the most in 2013 and Kim Kardashian has topped the celebrity list.

She is followed by One Direction, with their singer Harry Styles landing at No.10 on the same list.

Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber are at No.3 and No.4 on the celebrity list, whilst Kate Middleton and Taylor Swift follow.

The most searched for person of 2013 meanwhile is the late actor Paul Walker, who passed away in a car crash in November.

'What is twerking?' was the year's most popular 'what is' question, whilst the Grand National was 2013's top trending event.
