Selena Gomez has dismissed speculation that she will hang up her music boots.

The singer only released new album 'Stars Dance' this week but there have been murmurs that she might ditch music to pursue acting further.

The rumours stemmed from a quote recently issued by Gomez that she was considering a prolonged break from music to focus on film.

However, she has now told Ryan Seacrest that whilst movies is something that she wants to delve into more frequently, music is still very much on her radar. The Spring Breakers star said:

"Honestly, I’m a girl so I change my mind all the time anyway but I was in the studio last week and I was like, ‘What am I doing here?’. There’s no way I’m going to give it up. But I do want to get into acting a little bit more and experiment with that so we’ll see!"
