Chemical Bros talk scoring ‘Hanna’

Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers says that scoring the movie ‘Hanna’ was a “liberating” experience.

Normally we have 15 versions of a song and we're not sure which one to use,” he told ‘The Los Angeles Times.’ “Here we might have had two or three versions, and Joe [Wright, director] would come in and collaborate, set some parameters.”

Rowlands also said that creating atmosphere was a challenging but rewarding part of the process.

“What we found was really interesting with a movie is how you can have a very tense action scene, and then the challenge is making it go to a very beautiful moment,” he said. “We liked being able to create these moods that went along with everything else you were seeing in the film."
