Union J star JJ Hamblett believes this year's X Factor will be one of the best yet.

The TV talent show is set to return to UK screens soon with Cheryl, Simon Cowell, Mel B and Louis Walsh as judges.

Union J found fame on the 2012 series of the show and JJ Hamblett told Lorraine that he is looking forward to seeing the panel work together.

He said: "I think it's going to be amazing this year and obviously Simon the King is back and then you've got Mel B, she was amazing on the Australian X Factor and she's quite feisty as well."

Speaking meanwhile about the show's contestants, Josh Cuthbert said:

"We know exactly how they're all feeling right now. We've got friends in the competition this year so we knew exactly what they were going through and we did feel for them."
