Union J believe there is more to them than most people think.

The band rose to fame on the 2012 series of the X Factor, where they finished as a finalist.

They are naturally tarred with the boyband brush, but JJ Hamblett reckons that tag is unfair.

He told the Daily Star: "You can call us a boyband but we have a lot more about us and that's gotta be good for the future of pop."

Speaking meanwhile about their growing international fame, Hamblett said:

"We've been walking through Hollywood and people have asked for autographs - it's been nuts."

Union J released their new single 'Tonight (We Live Forever)' on Monday (August 18).
