Adam Lambert pleased to see Bruce Springsteen cancel show over LGBT law

Adam Lambert says it is "badass" that Bruce Springsteen has sheleved a show in protest of a new anti-LGBT law.

The musician pulled a gig in North Carolina after the state passed the 'Bathroom Bill'.

The law forces transgender people to use gender-specific restrooms and it has come under fire.

Speaking to NME, Lambert said he is pleased to see something with Springsteen's "clout" to rally against the law.

He said: "I'm not here to say what is wrong or right. I understand why [Springsteen] would do it, especially if you are an artist with that kind of clout and legacy. It's a great way to send a message of support or rejection to legislation. It is too bad that those [laws] are happening right now.

"I think it's pretty badass that [Springsteen and the E Street Band] cancelled their shows.

"I've been in a couple of circumstances like that and I'm always trying to be sensitive to people's sensitivities. You have to be careful but there's a real eloquent way to make statements about that kind of stuff."
