New talkshow to launch with Amy Winehouse's parents as first guests

American newscaster, Anderson Cooper, will launch his new daytime talkshow next week and his first guests will be the late Amy Winehouse's parents.

Cooper's new programme is set to begin on September 12 and he will be joined by Janis and Mitch Winehouse, as well as the singer's boyfriend Reg Traviss and her brother Alex.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Cooper explained the interview will centre around both the life and death of the 'Tears Dry On Their Own' star:

"I've followed her career for a long time. Her music is extraordinary. And she's such a remarkable talent. What's remarkable about this family is they've been so public before her death about trying to get her help."

"We want it to be a look at what happened to her and the struggles that she was facing and the struggles that the family was facing in trying to get [her] help and her incredible talent and career."
