Britney Spears and Jennifer Hudson pay tribute to Whitney Houston

The likes of Britney Spears and Jennifer Hudson helped honour the late Whitney Houston last night (October 11) at a special event.

A number of music stars attended 'We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston' in Los Angeles to pay tribute to the vocal star, who passed away in February.

Jennifer Hudson performed the Houston classic 'I Will Always Love You', whilst Jordin Sparks and Usher also played live.

Britney Spears helped to host the event and shared her thoughts on Houston, adding that her cover of 'I Have Nothing' helped secure her a record deal.

Spears tweeted a photo of herself and fiance Jason Trawick at the event, adding: "Backstage at The Whitney Houston Tribute. Such a solemn occasion. Jason's doing his best to put a smile on my face."
