Coldplay hint at Paralympic set surprises: "We have a couple of friends coming out with us"

Chris Martin from Coldplay teased a few details about his band's upcoming set at the London 2012 Paralympic Closing Ceremony during a radio interview this afternoon.

Speaking to Radio 1's Greg James today, he explained that there will be some guests joining them onstage although he didn't confirm if the collaborators would be the heavily rumoured Jay-Z and Rihanna:

"We're in rehearsals in the biggest car park in the world where there's a fake Olympic stadium thing. I'm not sure what I can say. We're gonna play some of our songs, then we have a couple of friends coming out with us. There's lots of amazing dancers and acrobats."

When asked about the ambiguous nature of his replies, Martin exclaimed: "This is like a police inquiry! I can't say much."

A tweet was posted earlier today (September 7) from the group's official Twitter page that was accompanied by a photograph of Martin (pictured below) in rehearsals for the event and the caption read: "Chris up high for final Paralympic rehearsals."

The Paralympic Closing Ceremony is set to take place on September 11.
