Foals set to earn UK No.1 album with 'Holy Fire'

British rockers Foals are on course to land their highest-charting UK album this week after their new offering, 'Holy Fire', debuted at No.1.

The record currently has a lead of 7,000 according to statistics released by the Official Charts Company and it could be enough to stop the 'Les Misérables' cast recording's reign at the top if it maintains momentum.

This could be Foals' first chart-topping album in the UK as their previous releases, 2008’s 'Antidotes' and 2010’s 'Total Life Forever', peaked at No.3 and No.8 respectively.

Bullet For My Valentine's new album, 'Temper Temper', has made an impressive appearance at No.6 this afternoon (February 13) and Biffy Clyro's 'Opposites' remains in the Top 10 at No.8.

Tegan and Sara (pictured below) have entered the albums chart at 23 with 'Heartthrob', Mumford & Sons' 'Babel' has climbed 10 positions to No.7 following their GRAMMYs performance last weekend, and P!nk's latest cut, 'The Truth About Love', has risen 10 places to No.19.
