Justin Bieber meets his Christmas chart rivals the NHS ChoirJustin Bieber has met the NHS Choir - the singers who pipped him to last year's UK Christmas No.1 single. The singer was locked in a fierce battle with the charity group in December for the festive No.1. However, the Brits eventually beat the Canadian with their track 'A Bridge Over You' - with a little support from Bieber himself. The Official Charts Company brought together the two acts in February in London when Bieber was in town for the Brit Awards. He said: "I was honoured to meet everyone from the choir and I’m really happy that they got their No.1." The Canadian presented the choir with an award for their Christmas No.1. NHS Choir spokesperson Katie Rogerson said: “We are all delighted to meet Justin Bieber today, and congratulate him on his tremendous achievements. It was wonderful that Justin supported the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS choir. "By doing this, he not only recognised our mental health charities (MIND, SAMH and NIAMH) and Carers UK, but also acknowledged every single member of our hardworking NHS team across the UK. "On a personal note... it gives me a bit of street cred with my paediatric patients as Dr Katie! I’m now a Belieber in every sense of the word!" At the same time, Bieber was given the first Official Chart Record Breaker Award. Follow us: @Pressparty on Twitter / Pressparty on Facebook.
