Stars have taken to Twitter to send their congratulations to rapper Kanye West and his reality star girlfriend Kim Kardashian, who are reported to have welcomed a daughter into the world yesterday (15 June).

The news has been reported by such top US news outlets such as TMZ and US Weekly, which have said the baby girl arrived five weeks early and that West had to miss a release party for his own new album ‘Yeezus’ because of it.

Though the world is still awaiting confirmation of the happy news, many stars have already sent their best wishes to the couple and their new addition.

Russel Simmons posted: “There is no greater gift in life than a child's laughter! Congrats to Kim and Kanye.”

DJ and ‘Jersey Shore’ star Pauly d added: “Congrats @KimKardashian And @kanyewest On The Birth Of Your Baby Girl !!!!!”

Rapper Nas tweeted: “Congrats to Kanye 4 the birth of his daughter today too! To my bros w/ daughters!!”

TV star Bethenny Frankel also chimed in, saying: “All kidding aside, congrats @kimkardashian on your baby girl. It's the most beautiful, best thing that could happen to you. Girls rule.”
