Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno discusses his decision to give up drugs

Kasabian's guitarist, Serge Pizzorno, has opened up to NME about his reasons to give up drugs. 

Pizzorno had his first child last year with his wife, Amy, and he said that the arrival of their baby boy, Ennio Silva, played a huge factor in his decision:

"I always write from home and I’ve just had a baby. I’m not going to be doing drugs around a little boy. There’s more at stake than music. When you’re getting up to do the milk in the morning, you don’t want to be out of your mind, do you?"

The musician from Devon has taken over the songwriting role for Kasabian since the departure of Christopher Karloff and this can be seen on the band's fourth album, 'Velociraptor!', which was released on Monday (September 19).
