Singer and musician Prince will be heading to the 'New Girl' set next month for a special guest appearance.

Fox's post-Super Bowl party will be huge and is set to include a guest cameo by music icon Prince on the U.S. series 'New Girl'. The episode will air directly after the sporting event next month on Sunday, February 2. 

The episode's storyline will revolve around protagonist Zooey Deschanel being invited to a mansion party thrown by the 'Raspberry Beret' legend and her friends and roommates crashing the extravaganza. 

Other stars to have appeared on the show range from country-pop songstress Taylor Swift (pictured below with the 'New Girl' cast) and actor Justin Long. 

In December 2013, Rita Ora revealed that she recently collaborated with Prince and found it amazing to work with him on a project: "I have met him and I have had the honour of being in the same studio as him."

"We messed around with some music and you know, I can't believe he can play so many instruments. All I can say is that we've definitely done some music together."
