Bruce Springsteen on course to top UK albums chart

Bruce Springsteen looks set to bag yet another UK No.1 album this weekend.

The Official Charts Company have confirmed in their midweek update today (January 15) that the US rocker's new record 'High Hopes' is outselling the top five combined.

That means that the album, which features Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello on guitar, should stay at No.1 when the official chart is announced on Sunday (January 19).

At No.2 on the midweek list is Ellie Goulding's 'Halcyon', which has enjoyed post-Christmas success despite its original version being released in 2012.

Beyoncé's surprise self-titled effort is at No.3 whilst Bastille's 'Bad Blood' rises one place to No.4.

This means that John Newman's debut album 'Tribute' drops to No.5.
