The nominations for the 2013 Razzies have been announced and some of music's hottest stars are up for the embarrassing prizes on offer. 

Former Disney beauty Selena Gomez has been nominated in the Worst Actress category for her role in the action movie 'Getaway', Lady Gaga is up for Worst Supporting Actress for her part in 'Machete Kills', and R&B sensation Chris Brown got a nod in the Worst Supporting Actor category for 'Battle Of The Year'. 

Back in August last year, Gomez told press that she stepped into the role of The Kid for the film because she liked what the character represented: "The Kid is spunky and edgy and really cool. I get her angst and why she's that way.. with her dad and the frustration of her wanting to be on her own. She knows a lot about cars and technology, which I know nothing about [laughs], so that was interesting for me and a big challenge to familiarise myself with."

The 2012 Razzies saw the likes of Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez nominated for their parts in 'Battleship' and 'What To Expect When You're Expecting' respectively. Rihanna won her category and took home the Worst Supporting Actress title. 

A message on the awards ceremony's official site explains that "'winners' in all categories will be announced on the now traditional date of "Oscar Eve", Saturday, March 1".
