Royal Blood No.1 on midweek UK albums chart

Royal Blood are on course to spend a second week at No.1 on the UK albums chart.

The Brighton duo's self-titled debut hit No.1 on Sunday (August 31) and the Official Charts Company today (September 3) confirmed that it is still top of the list.

At No.2 on the midweek update is Ed Sheeran's 'x', whilst Sam Smith's 'In The Lonely Hour' is just 600 copies behind at No.3.

Maroon 5 are a new entry with their fifth album 'V' at No.4, whilst The Pierces' fellow newbie 'Creation' rounds off the top five.

Lonely The Brave are No.11 with their new effort 'The Day's War' and Pulled Apart By Horses are at No.27 with 'Blood'.

Royal Bloid meanwhile recently announced plans to tour the UK and Ireland later this year.
