Hitmaker Nick Jonas has opened about his forthcoming new solo album, which is due to be released on November 11, and revealed that it was a challenging project for him. 

Speaking to On Air With Ryan Seacrest, he confessed that the songwriting process was daunting, but incredibly cathartic: 

"The process of recording it and writing it was really freeing. It kind of opened me up creatively, whether it was collaborating with people who were pushing me and making me better or tapping into a sort of emotional side on the television show that I’m doing. It was a lot of elements that played into me digging deeper and making a record I’m really proud of."

Jonas went onto add that he feels as though this is a 'big step' and one that he's really happy to take finally: "And it’s a big step for me and my career and coming into who I am and who I want to be. And I’m excited about each step."
