Gareth Malone's All Star Choir are leading the midweek UK singles chart.

The Children In Need celebrity ensemble, featuring the likes of Jo Brand and Linda Robson, have released a cover of Avicii's 'Wake Me Up'.

The Official Charts Company confirmed today (November 12) that the tune is sitting pretty at the top of the UK midweek chart.

At No.2 meanwhile is Ed Sheeran's previous chart-topper 'Thinking Out Loud'.

The singer-songwriter is followed by Cheryl's 'I Don't Care', which drops two places from No.1.

One Direction's 'Steal My Girl' has risen five places to No.4 whilst Meghan Trainor's 'All About That Bass' rounds off the top five.

There is a new entry meanwhile for The Veronicas, whose track 'You Ruin Me' lands at No.6.
