Adele unveils new single ‘Rolling in the Deep’

Adele has unveiled new single ‘Rolling in the Deep’ from her upcoming studio album. The song is described as a “beautiful gospel piano tune” and features a mournful gospel wailing as well as a choral backing.

Speaking to People about the song, Adele revealed: "I was so angry that I finished 'Rolling in the Deep' in about an hour."

A music video is being shot to accompany the single and which is due to drop on December 3. The video will feature a dancing female warrior character. "It looks like an Annie Leibovitz shoot," said Adele.

Adele’s latest album ‘21’ will be coming out in the UK on January 24, 2011 and in the US on February 22 and is the anticipated follow-up to her last record ‘19’.

Talking about the new album in comparison to her debut, Adele said: "I'm more patient, more honest, more forgiving and more aware of my own flaws, habits and principles. Something that comes with age I think. So fittingly this record is called '21'. The whole reason I called my first album ‘19’ was about cataloguing what happened to me then and who I was then, like a photo album you see the progression and changes in a person throughout the years."
