Nathan Sykes says he is flattered that some people are likening him to Zayn Malik.

Like the former One Direction man, the Brit is enjoying a successful solo career after being in a boyband.

Sykes was an integral part of The Wanted before they called it quits in 2014.

Speaking to Attitude, the singer said he is happy to be compared to Malik.

Sykes said: "Listen, I’m a massive fan of Zayn and his album is brilliant."

The musician also opened up on whether he parties a lot, saying:

"I’m not behaving like an absolute nutter but I’m not at home in bed, reading a book by 8pm. I’m pretty much doing what most 23 year olds do, with the bonus of getting to sing and travel the world."
