Canadian sensation Shawn Mendes will bring his world tour to London's Eventim Apollo this evening (May 5) and he sat down for an interview with The Hits Radio for a quick-fire Q&A session.

When asked if he prefers going in or staying out, Mendes said: "Honestly, I'm kind of a night in guy. Just with tonnes of tea. British tea."

The host then asked what his beverage of choice would be on a night out, to which he replied that he isn't of legal drinking age yet: "I guess I'm just going to stick with water because I'm not legal! I'm 17! I know, unfair right? In Germany... whatever the most German beer is."

He went onto add that the most famous people's phone numbers he has in his address book belong to Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift: 

"I have her in my phone as Taylor, with the exclamation mark! It's just Taylor... Ed has three numbers. I think it was something to do with... I think it was just me saying happy birthday to her and she sent a kissy face back to me."
