This year's CMT Awards are scheduled to take place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on June 8 and Adam Lambert and Leona Lewis are nominated for a prize. 

The unlikely duo, who performed a cover of Little Big Town's 'Girl Crush' at the CMT Artists of the Year event last year, are up for the Performer of the Year award. To vote for Performance of the Year, click here (certain regions will not be able to do this).

Lewis and Lambert will go head to head with Brantley Gilbert and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Carrie Underwood, Cheap Trick and Jennifer Nettles, Chris Stapleton, and Darius Rucker for the title. 

Leona Lewis, who was recently announced as a new cast member of the broadway production of Cats, took to her official Twitter page this evening to encourage the public to vote: "Less than a week until the @CMT Music Awards in Nashville! So excited to be nominated w/ @adamlambert - vote here!"
